Modify Tools

After created the objects, you may need to perform editing operation to modify the objects.

Move

Moves objects a specified distance in a specified direction

Home tab > Modify panel > Move

Select object
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Specify second point

Object move to the point as specified

Copy

Copies objects a specified distance in a specified direction

Home tab > Modify panel > Copy

Select objects
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Specify second point
Press [Enter] to end the command

Rotate

Rotates objects around a base point

Home tab > Modify panel > Rotate

Select objects
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Specift rotation angle
Press [Enter]

Object rotate to the angle as specified

Copy Option

Creates a copy of the selected objects for rotation

Home tab > Modify panel > Rotate

Select objects
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Command Line: Copy

Specify rotation angle
Press [Enter]

Object rotate and copied

Repeat the same steps
Using the same base point
Select the last object to rotate

Reference Option

Rotates objects from a specified angle to new - absolute angle

Home tab > Modify panel > Rotate

Select objects
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Command Line: Reference

Pick the first point from the base point

Specify second point to measure the angle

Enter new angle

Object rotate to the absolute angle as specified

Scale

Enlarges or reduces selected objects, keeping the proportions of the object the same after scaling.

Home tab > Modify panel > Scale

Select both left and right polygons
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Enter scale factor
Press [Enter]

Both polygons enlarge

Copy Option

Creates a copy of the selected objects for scaling

Home tab > Modify panel > Scale

Select top and bottom polygons
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Command Line: Copy

Enter scale factor
Press [Enter]

Polygons scale and copied

Reference Option

Scales the selected objects based on a reference length and a specified new length

Home tab > Modify panel > Scale

Select objects
Press [Enter]

Specify base point

Command Line: Reference

Pick first point from base point

Specify second point

Enter new length
Press [Enter]

Object enlarge as specified

Mirror

Creates a mirrored copy of selected objects

Home tab > Modify panel > Mirror

Cross-select multiple objects
Press [Enter]

Specify first point of mirror line

Pointing upward vertically and pick second point

Press [Enter] for No option

Multiple objects mirrored to the right and source copies remain

Grip Edit

Reshape, move or manipulate objects by different types of grips and grip modes.

Click on the center grip to make it hot to move the object

Make the end grip hot and stretch
Enter the increment distance

Press [Tab] key to other field
Enter the total length

Enter -110

For counter-clockwise rule
Enter negative values of the increment distance for circle make the circle larger

Multi-Functional Grip

Some object has multi-functional grips

Hover over the grip to display the multi-function
