Hatching & Gradient







Fill an enclosed area or selected objects with a hatch pattern or fill



Home tab > Draw panel > Hatch


Hatch Boundaries

Determines a hatch boundary from an enclosed area or a single object



Pick Points: Pick Internal Point
Select: Select Boundary Objects


Hatch Pattern




Hatch Creation tab > Pattern panel
Select the hatch pattern from the drop-down list


Hatch Color


Overrides the current color with a color specified for solid fills
and hatch patterns

Hatch Creation tab > Properties panel > Hatch Color
Select the color to override the layer color


Hatch Scale


Expands or contracts a predefined or custom hatch pattern



Hatch Creation tab > Properties panel > Scale
Enter the scale for hatch pattern


Hatch Angle


Specifies an angle for the hatch pattern relative to the X axis of the current UCS



Hatch Create tab > Properties panel > Angle
Enter the angle to change the hatch pattern original angle


Associative Boundaries

Control whether the hatch pattern will automatically update when boundaries is modified



Hatch Creation tab > Options panel > Associative
Light blue background mean turn on


Create Separate Hatches


Controls whether a single hatch object or multiple hatch objects are created when several closed boundaries are specified



Hatch Creation tab > Options panel expand > Create Separate Hatches
White background mean multiple hatches but single object


Gradient


A gradient fill creates a smooth transition between one or two colors


Home tab > Draw panel > Gradient


Gradient Pattern




Hatch Creation tab > Pattern panel
Select the gradient pattern from the drop-down list


Gradient Color




Hatch Creation tab > Properties panel
Specifies Gradient Color 1 and Color 2


Gradient Origin

Specifies a gradient that is symmetrical relative to the center of the area to be filled



Hatch Creation tab > Origin panel > Centered
Light blue background means turn on
